NEW MEXICO JUNIOR ACADEMY OF SCIENCE
GRADE 6-12 STUDENT RESEARCH PAPER COMPETITION
The New Mexico Junior Academy of Science (NMJAS) promotes student research through participation in an annual written and oral technical paper competition. The NMJAS paper competition is held at the same time as state and regional Science & Engineering Fairs (February-April). Competition focuses only on the written and oral communication of the student’s research. Rules follow national guidelines and directors are supported by the New Mexico Academy of Science.The competition is open to middle and high school students whether public, private, or home schooled, from across the state of New Mexico. The Junior Academy of Science has been supported by a local grant from Sandia National Laboratories and NMAS funds for operations and prizes.
The 2020 State Competition will be held in Socorro on April 3.
Paper submission date is March 20 and PowerPoint presentations will be due April 1.
