Antonio is a Production Engineering Supervisor at Chevron Midcontinent Business Unit based in Midland, Texas. In his role, he leads a team of Engineers that manages all subsurface operations for the oil and gas fields across the Permian Basin (Texas and New Mexico), Colorado and East Texas. Antonio graduated as Electrical Engineer, Cum Laude at University Rafael Urdaneta in Maracaibo, Venezuela, and won 2004’s best research project with a study of the impact of lightning strikes in the power distribution system using electromagnetic transients simulations in the place with the highest lighting activity in the world, the Lake of Maracaibo. He started at Chevron as an Instrumentation and Controls engineer working in facilities onshore, offshore and in Major Projects across South America. Antonio also worked as an Artificial Lift Engineer for light and heavy oil fields. In the Permian Basin, he led the asset team that developed one the of the first shale and tight fields for Chevron in the state of New Mexico. He has also worked as Operations Supervisor leading front line teams in the Permian Basin. Antonio holds an MBA, Cum Laude, from IE Business School in Madrid, Spain and recently completed the Harvard Business School Program for Leadership Development. He enjoys spending as much time as possible with Laura, his wife of 14 years, and their five kids. Together they enjoy reading, hiking, rafting, skiing, cooking and playing baseball.
