Kristin Strosnider is a junior in the Combined BAMD Degree Program at the University of New Mexico. She was born and raised in New Mexico and graduated from Rio Rancho High School. She is double majoring in Spanish and Health, Medicine, and Human Values with minors in Biology and Chemistry and a designation in Honors. Kristin is involved in several activities on campus with a favorite being her job at the tutoring center as a supplemental instruction leader.

In Research Challenge, she competed at the regional level for six years, at the state level for four years, and attended ISEF as an 8th Grade Student Observer in 2014. Kristin’s main project sought to develop an early screening test to detect early signs of macular degeneration, an age-related eye disease. Kristin plans to attend medical school at UNM and is excited to serve as a physician in New Mexico in the future. Research Challenge holds a special place in Kristin’s heart and she is excited to share her experiences with you!
